Description

Refreshing iced peach green tea lemonade with a perfect balance of fruit and tartness.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup (240 ml) water, for steeping green tea
  • 1 green tea bag, high-quality loose leaf or tea bag
  • 1/2 cup (120 ml) peach juice
  • 1/2 cup (120 ml) lemonade
  • 1 handful ice cubes (about 46 cubes), filtered water or infused
  • Honey (for non-vegan) or agave syrup (vegan alternative)

Instructions

  1. Step 1: Bring water to a boil, then pour 1 cup (240 ml) over one green tea bag. Steep for exactly 3 minutes to release flavors and caffeine without bitterness.
    Step 1
  2. Step 2: Remove the tea bag and allow the green tea to cool to room temperature. Once cooled, place the tea in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes to chill.
    Step 2
  3. Step 3: Fill a tall glass to the brim with a handful of ice cubes (approximately 4-6 cubes). Filling with ice two minutes before pouring helps keep the drink icy cold longer.
    Step 3
  4. Step 4: Pour the chilled green tea, 1/2 cup (120 ml) peach juice, and 1/2 cup (120 ml) lemonade into the glass over the ice. Stir gently to combine.
    Step 4
  5. Step 5: Sip the drink. If a sweeter flavor is preferred, add honey or agave syrup, stirring well to dissolve. If the drink becomes too sweet, add approximately 1 teaspoon (5 ml) fresh lemon juice to increase tartness and balance flavors.
    Step 5

Notes

  • Room Temperature: Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 6 hours, keeping away from direct sunlight and heat sources.
  • Refrigeration: Place in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days. Stir gently before serving to mix any settled ingredients.
  • Freezing: Use a freezer-safe container or bag and freeze for up to 1 month. Thaw in the refrigerator before serving and stir well.
  • Avoid bitterness by steeping green tea no longer than 3 minutes. Over-steeping causes a bitter taste.
  • If peach juice lacks flavor, use a good quality brand or puree about 1/4 cup (60 ml) of fresh ripe peaches to add natural sweetness and enhance fruitiness.
  • For enhanced coolness, fill the serving glass with ice two minutes prior to pouring the drink.
  • If tea is not chilled enough, extend refrigeration time by an additional 15 minutes before mixing.
  • Garnish with fresh mint leaves or lemon slices for added aroma and visual appeal.
  • Add a splash of sparkling water for fizz if desired.
  • Serve alongside fresh fruit salad or light quinoa tabbouleh for a refreshing snack.
  • Pair with gluten-free crackers and hummus for a light accompaniment.
  • Use fresh peach puree (approximately 1/4 cup or 60 ml) in place of peach juice for a fresher fruit flavor.
  • Substitute honey with agave syrup for a vegan-suitable sweetener.
